Discussion Questions

Living Out Your Greatness

  1. Read Judges 6:11-16. God calls Gideon a mighty warrior when he does not feel like one. What are some truths that God has spoken over you that you have a tension receiving?
  2. Confidence is key when walking out the greatness that God calls you to be. A confidence not built on worldly things, but one that is derived from prayer and scripture; from hearing the voice of the Lord. Read 1 Samuel 17:45-47. From reading this scripture, David’s confidence in himself and ultimately in God is evident. What are 3 identities of yourself that you are confident in; three truths that demonstrate your confidence in you, but also the characteristics of God?
  3. Take turns and read these 3 verses 1 Corinthians 15:9, Ephesians 3:8, 1 Timothy 1:15. With a deepening of confidence, there also needs to be an increase of humility. Paul grew in his depth of humility and thus his influence and power grew as well. What is your definition of humility and how do you think God is moving you into humility as He is calling you great?
  4. Johanna Wolfgang von Geothe says, “Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!”

  5. What are some dreams or desires that you have that you are/were scared to begin? Be vulnerable! Vulnerability is the first step to boldness. Share with the group dreams and desires and discuss how to take practical steps towards it.
  6.
    Renewal of Hope and Dreams

  7. The altar call at Itaewon led by P.Marcus was powerful. For those that stood up (and feel comfortable) share how the Holy Spirit ministered as He broke off fear and filled you again with hope and renewal.
  8. Take time affirming each person in your CG with identity and also the dreams and visions they carry. Speak encouragement and truth as you share and pray for one another.
