Cycle for Hope – Sat, Oct 26

This Saturday is “Cycle for Hope,” a bike festival and fundraiser hosted by the leaders of Ride Against Traffick and the Korea Tourism Organization. The KTO is promoting the day as the “Ara Lock Fall Bike Festival: Cycle for Hope.” A portion of the proceeds will be going toward two great causes in the fight against human trafficking. First is the Oak Tree Project, which is a scholarship and mentoring program for Korean orphans. Sadly, Korean orphans are the most vulnerable to human trafficking here in Korea. Oaktree exists to give these children a brighter hope and future. And second is Hope Be Restored, a ministry of Onnuri English Ministry (OEM) that seeks to bring freedom and restoration to those who’ve been affected by human trafficking.

New Philly is mobilizing our community to go and stand against human trafficking and the oppression of the poor and orphaned. This has been a continual emphasis of our prayer movement from the start and we hope this event will bring breakthrough among influential Korean leaders to champion these causes.

There will also be special performances, bicycling enthusiast speakers, and a BBQ by top chefs. See you there.
